High Rocks is seeking a Program Manager for our Tech Express program, located in Lewisburg, WV.
Tech Express is a High Rocks Business empowering Southern West Virginia through tech repair, maintenance, and support. We create career pathways in technology by offering hands-on training and mentorship through an innovative earn-and-learn model. We are working to transform the region’s tech workforce, fostering growth and innovation while addressing the evolving needs. At Tech Express, we’re not just fixing tech – we’re shaping the future of West Virginia's tech workforce.
The Program Manager works directly with young people in an on-the-job, earning-and-learning training program, designs and delivers community workshops, and leads customer support, coaching, and repair work. Together with the team of tech trainees, Tech Express offers tech support and computer repair, e-waste upcycling and recycling, and community workshops in tech and digital literacy – all with our young people as business partners along the way. The position will drive the growth of our Tech Express program by leading the technology training program and on-the-job training by doing customer work with our young technicians, who range from high school students to college graduates. Our goal is to build a thriving pilot program for IT, Computer Science, and Cybersecurity career pathways in West Virginia and a resource for community digital literacy and support.
The High Rocks team is dynamic and inspiring; team members work together to achieve great results, guide the direction of the organization, represent High Rocks in regional partnerships, work together to tell the story of High Rocks to the world, and build relationships with funders and other partners so that we can provide our programs free-of-charge to young people in West Virginia.
Salary: $40,000 – $59,000, commensurate with education and experience. Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is strongly recommended.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Technology skills and IT confidence.
- Mentoring experience.
- Time, project, and personnel management skills.
Training is available.
- Some travel is required.
- A background check is required since we work with vulnerable populations and Workforce WV. Must be able to pass a drug screening.
