Tech Express Program Manager – Ready to make an impact with your tech expertise while mentoring hungry young minds? Want to help build promising career pathways in technology for our communities? Believe in helping our young people stay and thrive in the state? Join High Rocks as a full-time Tech Express Program Manager and help transform the tech workforce in West Virginia. Tech Express is a new home-grown genius bar; we live up to our motto - "taking the tough out of tech." This position works directly with young people in an on-the-job, earning-and-learning training program while building partnerships to help them earn money, earn certifications, earn a 2-year or 4-year degree, and get a good job in the tech sector, including remote jobs. This person will drive the growth of our Tech Express business, which offers 1) tech support and computer repair, 2) e-waste upcycling and recycling, and 3) community workshops in tech and digital literacy – all with our young people as business partners along the way. This position will continue to build Tech Express as a thriving pilot program for IT, Computer Science, and Cybersecurity career pathways in West Virginia while cultivating partnerships with colleges and industry partners. Responsibilities:
- Maintain and grow a successful tech support and computer repair business following a social enterprise model.
- Teach and mentor workforce trainees, interns, and program staff, including college students.
- Recruit, train, retain, and place career-pathway program participants.
- Point of contact and coordinator for internal IT support.
- Improve digital literacy and tech skills through community engagement, workshops, and outreach efforts.
- Drive business development and marketing, social media, and community outreach to reach sales targets.
- Build a thriving and scalable pilot for IT, Computer Science, and Cybersecurity career pathways with earning-and-learning and on-the-job training opportunities.
- Customize program goals to meet industry hiring needs.
- Lead job placement for successful trainees by cultivating and maintaining industry relationships and tracking job retention for program alumni.
- In collaboration with Head Technician, develop, document, and streamline strong business practices for Tech Express technicians to follow.
- Supervise Head Technician, and supervise AmeriCorps members and other trainees with Head Technician.
Minimum Qualifications:

WV Jobs Network Coordinator – Be a driving force behind our dynamic, transformational, multi-organizational partnership revolutionizing workforce development in West Virginia. The WV Jobs Network's main goals are to connect people with good jobs and create viable, sustainable workforce pathways for West Virginians within the state. As a coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing success measures and learning goals within the network. Farm Production Coordinator – Are you an experienced grower with a green thumb that can't quit? Join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in cultivating health and wellness in our local communities as a Farm Production Coordinator at High Rocks. Our mission is to educate, empower, and inspire young people in West Virginia, and as a Farm Production Coordinator, you'll be at the forefront of this transformational work, working closely with the High Rocks Farm Manager, local farmers, and youth. Working side-by-side with young people, you'll teach them horticulture skills while mentoring them. Our farm has a triple bottom line: people, profit, and place, and you'll be helping to grow all three. You'll help coordinate our farm operations, including production planning, planting, growing, and harvesting beautiful produce, and serving as a supervisor for young people earning money while learning during their time with us. This food will go to local programs, schools, food pantries, restaurants, and other partners in our community. This position will use their knowledge of horticulture, passion for agriculture, and dedication to empowering the next generation of growers to have a lasting impact on local youth and the future of our region.
Compensation: $15 – $22/hour, 16-24 hours/week. Based in Hillsboro, WV, this position is part-time, at-will, and eligible for flexible workplace and professional development opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate production planning using tend.com.
- Coordinate sales and delivery using Square or other applications.
- Maintain harvest records and other production, quality, and sales data.
- Provide excellent customer service to the customer base, including wholesale customers, farmers markets, and new customers.
- Assist with building farm infrastructure (including high tunnels, equipment storage, and other infrastructure as needed).
- Mentor and train young farmers in agricultural and power skills.
- Support Local Foods programming and work as a team to meet strategic goals (including production, sales, food security, customer relations, and workforce pathways for youth, as needed).
- Assist with managing and coordinating the Ruby Grow farm, Grow Appalachia program, and Folk Arts and Culture Workshop Series.
Minimum Qualifications:

- Growing experience is required; commercial growing experience is a plus.

Hub Student Coordinator – Are you excited to mentor young people as baristas, budding chefs, and business partners to help build strong communities in West Virginia? High Rocks is seeking a full-time Hub Student Coordinator to help guide our successful youth café – a café that builds community and provides workforce development opportunities for young people. Our café operates on a triple bottom line: people, profit, and place. We aim to serve healthy, tasty, and affordable food, provide a gathering place for community events and connections, support young people by creating safe spaces and services like tutoring, and give young people an opportunity to learn and earn while building a viable program model for others around the state of West Virginia.
Salary: $40,000 – 45,000, depending on education and experience. Based in Lewisburg, WV, this position is full-time, at-will, and is eligible for benefits, including flexible workplace, health, retirement, vacation, and professional development opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Work side-by-side with the Hub team, including young people, to cook food, prepare drinks, lead community workshops, and develop strong café and café programs.
- Work with youth as business partners in café management, development, and community outreach and engagement.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, supervise, train, and release youth, AmeriCorps members, and workforce trainee baristas with Hub Manager.

Playgroup Leader: Do you love children? Want to help create the first High Rocks Summer Playgroup? As the full-time Play Group Leader, you will create unforgettable experiences for children ages 1-10 this summer. For this position, we are looking for an energetic leader to impart creativity and structured activities for High Rocks' youngest adventurers to discover their best summer yet!
Compensation: $15 – $20/hour, 40 hours/week for nine weeks of summer. Breakfast and lunch are included when camp is in session. This position is based in Hillsboro, WV.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate an engaging, creative, fun, organized, and safe space for students in the playgroup (approximate ages 1-10).
- Create a daily schedule of play and learning activities for approximately 3-10 children per day.
- Hold daily reading time.
- Maximize outdoor play and adventure.
- Provide clear structure, rules, and consequences to ensure safety and stability.
- Maintain daily sign-in and sign-out for students in the playgroup.
- Keep a log of daily activities and any issues that emerge.

Farm Manager – Are you passionate about building a strong local food economy in rural Appalachia? Would you enjoy working with young people to provide healthy, fresh food to our communities? High Rocks is looking for a full-time Farm Manager. Our mission is to educate, empower, and inspire young people in West Virginia, and as a Farm Manager, you'll be helping to build sustainable local produce production, teach young growers agricultural and business skills, and work together with local and regional partners - including schools, food pantries, and partner farms - to develop a stronger local foods economy and to combat hunger and food insecurity in the food deserts we live in. With your expertise in farm operations, strategic planning, and sustainable practices, you'll oversee all aspects of our farm and local foods programming, including our Ruby Grow production farm and workforce development program, our Grow Appalachia program that teaches households how to garden for themselves, and community workshops celebrating Appalachian food traditions. By nurturing partnerships with local farmers and mentoring young people, you'll foster a resilient and thriving Appalachia by empowering the next generation of agricultural leaders.

Responsibilities:
- Lead Local Foods programs across all High Rocks.
- Design and deliver programming to youth, including on-the-job training, leadership and professional development, and business skills.
- Recruit, hire, supervise, and work directly alongside student growers, AmeriCorps members, and /or youth daily.
- Develop and follow the Ruby Grow farm business model:

Grants Manager – Are you strong in financial management, QuickBooks, complex spreadsheets, and project management? As a Grants Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining a strong and growing grants portfolio, providing internal compliance checks, and financial reporting to funding partners, including federal grant agreements. This position will use QuickBooks, our organizational budget, and our program's budgets to develop successful grants budgets, provide financial tracking of grants and grant matches, and prepare grant reports and supporting documentation. - Development, Business Office, and Audit Team Member:

- Ensure fiscal protocol remains up-to-date.
- Assist with the development of an organizational budget.
- Serve on the development team to maintain and grow a strong grants portfolio.
- Develop and maintain a grants master spreadsheet for tracking, charge out, and grant funding matches.
- Work with the business office to close the books at least twice yearly, up to quarterly.
- Serve on the Single Audit team throughout the year.
- Cleaning and reconciling accounts, customers, grants, classes, and vendors.
- Grants Budgets, Tracking, Accounting, and Reporting:
- Prepare budgets and budget narratives for grant submission, including federal grants with multiple partners.
- Maintain compliance with contractual reporting obligations and submit reports using the portals, processes, and formats required by each funding source.
- Charge out grants and matching funds in QuickBooks for each grant.
- Prepare and submit grant reports, including all financial reports, explanations, narratives, related forms, and other documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and QuickBooks.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Adaptability and flexibility.
- Experience with federal compliance is strongly preferred.
