High Rocks is seeking a full-time Hub Student Coordinator to help guide our successful youth café – a café that builds community and provides workforce development opportunities for young people. Our café operates on a triple bottom line: people, profit, and place. We aim to serve healthy, tasty, and affordable food, provide a gathering place for community events and connections, support young people by creating safe spaces and services like tutoring, and give young people an opportunity to learn and earn while building a viable program model for others around the state of West Virginia.

Responsibilities:

• Work side-by-side with the Hub team, including young people, to cook food, prepare drinks, lead community workshops, and develop strong café and café programs.
• Work with youth as business partners in café management, development, and community outreach and engagement.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, supervise, train, and release youth, AmeriCorps members, and workforce trainee baristas with Hub Manager.
• Lead front-of-house operations for the Hub Café, including:

• • Maintaining excellent standards of quality for all food and customer service.
  • Cross-training with the Hub Manager on kitchen management responsibilities.

• Run Saturday training program.

Director of Business – The Director of Business will report directly to the Executive Director (ED) and serve on a creative Leadership Team with the ED, the Director of Programs, and the Development Director to guide and shape High Rocks as we grow and strengthen.

The Director of Business oversees the flow of money into, through, and out of High Rocks, ensuring integrity, transparency, and compliance with federal and other regulations governing grant and philanthropic investments to improve our communities.  They maintain our business systems for communications, technology, collaboration, and record-keeping.  The Director of Business is responsible for the creation and deployment of budgets, financial management and accountability policies and procedures, operations and facilities plans, and legal compliance initiatives, including audits. The Director of Business will lead the Office team (Accounting Specialist, Office Manager, Operations Manager, and Grants Manager), and will work directly to support other staff and participants in our programs.

Accounting Specialist –  High Rocks is a growing organization seeking an Accounting Specialist to work with the Business Office team to build strong tracking spreadsheets in Excel (including budget templates for staff and funders), to keep QuickBooks up-to-date and accurate through account reconciliation, to ensure day-to-day fiscal protocol compliance, to maintain reconciled and balanced accounts (including bank accounts, purchasing accounts, Square point-of sale accounts, retirement and other benefit accounts), to invoice and collect accounts receivable, to process payroll, and to oversee document retention for the Business Office. They will also support budget creation, grant financial reporting, and federal compliance with grant cost allocation policies.

Additionally, the Accounting Specialist will close our books 2-4 times per year and coordinate our larger audit team. The Accounting Specialist will be a key member of the Business Office team, and will work directly with that team as well as the other staff and participants in our programs. As the full-time Play Group Leader, you will create unforgettable experiences for children ages 1-10 this summer. For this position, we are looking for an energetic leader to impart creativity and structured activities for High Rocks' youngest adventurers to discover their best summer yet!

Compensation: $15 – $20/hour, 40 hours/week for nine weeks of summer. Breakfast and lunch are included when camp is in session. This position is based in Hillsboro, WV.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate an engaging, creative, fun, organized, and safe space for students in the playgroup (approximate ages 1-10).
• Create a daily schedule of play and learning activities for approximately 3-10 children per day.
• Hold daily reading time.
• Maximize outdoor play and adventure.
• Provide clear structure, rules, and consequences to ensure safety and stability.
• Maintain daily sign-in and sign-out for students in the playgroup.

Farm Production Coordinator – Are you an experienced grower with a green thumb that can't quit? Working side-by-side with young people, you'll teach them horticulture skills while mentoring them. Our farm has a triple bottom line: people, profit, and place, and you'll be helping to grow all three. You'll help coordinate our farm operations, including production planning, planting, growing, and harvesting beautiful produce, and serving as a supervisor for young people earning money while learning during their time with us. This food will go to local programs, schools, food pantries, restaurants, and other partners in our community. This position will use their knowledge of horticulture, passion for agriculture, and dedication to empowering the next generation of growers to have a lasting impact on local youth and the future of our region.
